A lovely clear sky

A lovely clear sky this morning heralding what is bound to be a beautiful day.

The new team web-site should be going live on this day too, thanks to the work of Andy Mutter and the representatives of the four churches making their essential contribution to the look, feel and content of what re-mains work-in-progress. Please do feed through to Andrew King, Claire Head, Tony Higgins or Marion Marchant any comments, and with Andy’s and Karon’s help and guidance we shall do our best to respond. But, I hope that you like the look of it.

Swanage is continuing to recover from the battering of last week, with stones the size of a loaf of bread having being thrown up at the Pier Head now cleared and the road open once again. The disappearance of Gerald Turner from Church Hill on Sunday, now 48 hours ago, is very much on our minds - and he and his family are in our prayers.

The clergy team met yesterday morning in Studland and have the services all planned and covered for the next three months; Andrew Corke continues with others with the Alpha Course, run-ning on Mondays; Confirmation classes, after a blip last Week with illness and weather causing cancellation will be on again tomorrow night at the rectory at 7.00 pm; and, Paul Baird will be speaking on Taize to the Mothers’ Union, and anyone else who is wanting to come along to hear him, on Thursday at 10.00 a.m. in the Rectory Classroom.

Much else is coming up: TPot tomorrow and, on Saturday morning, a special session of “Explore” for Mothering Sunday for the children in St Mary’s from 10.30 a.m. Kevin Burke will be there with his magical presence; crafts and games organised by Hatty and Gemma, and all the fun that goes with them!
