The process of appointing a new team vicar has moved to the stage of advertising, so the Parish Profile has been completed and the description of the role and person specification are all in their final draft. The position is to be advertised in the Church Times in the issues published on 5th and 12th February. We hope and pray that there may be people who feel guided by God to seek further details and consider whether or not the position suits them, and whether or not to apply.
Time is allowed for all of this consideration that is long enough for the wheels to turn, and thought and prayer bring individuals to a conclusion. We are planning that we shall not interview until after Easter, as we hope sincerely that these interviews can be undertaken physically face to face and not by Zoom.
I would like to thank those many people who have brought us to this point. A great deal of work has been undertaken to bring the documentation together, in a form that fairly reflects what we shall expect of a new team vicar and, equally well, describes what we are and what we offer. There is much yet to be done, but I believe that everyone is of the one accord as to how we shall proceed from here, and we look forward in hope, and with excitement as to what God has in store for us and the person chosen to take up residency in the vicarage as soon as it can be managed. We have happy days ahead, of that I am sure!
