The road ahead

The road ahead

The team rector's blogs which have continued on Tuesdays and Fridays since the spring of 2018, and during the height of the pandemic appeared every day are now concluded.  They will remain on the website for a little while, but then, with his retirement, will need to disappear.  But, Karon in the Parish Office does have them all on her computer, and can print out the full 588 posts for anyone that would like them, for a cost of £10 - which may seem quite a bit, but they do run to 224,000 words, so there is some printing and paper involved.  Please note that Karon can't bind them or include the pictures, or add the dates upon which each was posted.  But they are complete and in order.

The rector wrote an Advent/Christmas book during his sabbatical last year and he received news this week that it has been accepted by a publisher and should appear sometime in 2023, in good time for Advent/Christmas next year.  It is based on the daily Eucharistic lectionary, which primarily involves Isaiah and Luke during these days.  It is in the same format as his Advent book, Lent with Saint John's Gospel, which is currently out-of-print, though there are some copies floating about, including one in the St Mary's Church library.
