At today's Zoom junior church we reenacted the story of Noah and the flood. We had all sorts of animals. The children are so imaginative with their use of Zoom now that we had tigers in the kitchen and sharks in the loo! We also introduced real animals with pet dogs and fish. It was a real squash and a squeeze on our sofa arks! We thought about what we would do for 40 days and 40 nights in a smelly, noisy ark. There were lots of ideas - real snakes and ladders, noughts and crosses and play on our tablets! We wouldn't be bored at all! We then thought about Jesus in the wilderness for 40 days and nights and wondered what he did - and ate. Finally we talked about lent and how that season, just like the rainbow at the end of Noah's story, ends with a sign of God's promise to us.
